Fake MAC! Watch Out!

Hi All,

I just wanted to put out this warning post about the amount of fake MAC products which are being sold through eBay at the moment. I love buying products from ebay especially because I'm in Australia it can be cheaper for me to source them online rather than pay the high prices in stores. 

I hope this post helps you distinguish between real and fake products!

1) ALWAYS! Look at the sellers feedback. Often if they have less then 50 feedback I wont purchase off them as the sellers who list fake products change users names frequently and will almost always have 0-40 feedback scores before they change to their next eBay account.

2) NEVER pay by direct bank deposit. There is no way to track your payment if the user disappears from eBay ( trust me this has happened to me before) and you will be left macless and moneyless!

3) Even if you cant afford the prices at your local MAC counter go in and have a look at the way the products are packaged! Get to know what you are buying before you go online. This way you are more likely to spot the fakes!

4) SPOT THE DIFFERENCE!

Notice how this skinfinish has raised edges around the product? Authentic MAC does not have this. it is in most cases higher than the product not in line!

I'm really hoping this one is self explanatory.. MAC would never out out a palette this big. The biggest MAC palette available is the MAC 15 palette which you choose the colours yourself. 

MAC eyeshadows do not have a brush compartment! Nor would they every expect you to apply their shadows with such a small unprofessional brush! 

MAC do not to brush kits of this size. The only time MAC release brush kits are during the holiday season with their new campaigns. When these kits are released they come in a maximum of five brushes!

Please watch out at your local markets also. These criminals are setting up stalls and preaching to customers that their products are real! If your ever in doubt then choose to only buy from your local MAC counter.
