Well.. it kind of has. Before I do this 'HAUL' post Im going to start off by saying I dont like to call them 'Haul' posts. It makes it sound like I filled up my boot with copious amounts of product and thats not what I do! I work two jobs and the money I have to play with after all the bills are paid - I use to buy MAC products. Please don't comment me saying I'm boasting cause Im not. If you have an issue. Dont read on. Simple!
So I bought three MAC items today which Im really excited about! Two of them blushes and one eyeshadow. The two blushes are:
> My Highland Honey - Holiday Scottish Collection
> Style - Standard MAC blush
>Mystery- Standard MAC shadow
MY HIGHLAND HONEY
I love this blush! Its a matte finish and is the perfect coral/peach if you just want to warm your cheeks. I often use pinks on my cheeks (Dainty is one of my favourites) and I must say this was a great change over blush for me. Moving into peaches I was afraid of looking orange however My Highland Honey is just enough colour to really warm any skin tone.
STYLE
WOW! I love this colour and really can not believe I havent found it earlier. My friend who works at MAC was also shocked that I didnt have it yet. Very Similar to My Highland Honey, although you cant really tell from this photo as it looks quite pink here, this blush is what I would call a frosted peach. Unlike My Highland Honey this blush has a shimmer through it which makes it just that little bit more fresh looking. This one looks great over mineralize foundations or any skin base that gives you a dewy look!
MYSTERY
This is a great basic dark brown matte shadow. I specifically bought this one to use on my eyebrows as the colour is pretty spot on for me. I had previously been using MAC's Brunette eyebrow pencil however I have recently started hating the way that one sits on my skin even though I do blend it. Powder seems to work for me better! So this one is great for dark brows and I imagine I will use this one to add shadow to the outer corners of my make up too. This one would also be great if I were traveling as it could double as two products and lighten my load!
